The Doctors

Dr A Wijayawickrama (Male) – Partner 
MBBS, MRCS, MRCGP, PGDipDE, PGDipENT, PGCert in Education.

I graduated at Kings College, London and undertook surgical training becoming a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. I decided to become a GP and finished my training in 2006. I have since undertaken further training in diabetes, endocrinology and ENT. I teach medical students in the practice, a trainer for the London Deanery and an examiner for Imperial College Medical School. As from August 2018 I have been appointed as a Programme Director – GP training for the Hillingdon GP Training Scheme.

Dr M Kakad (Male) – Partner 
MBBS, BSc, MRCGP

I graduated with my medical degree from King’s College London in 2007. I completed my GP training in 2012, and I have been at Southcote Clinic since 2021. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice and I have a particular interest in Diabetes.

Dr K Arora (Female) – Currently on maternity leave until October 2024
MBBS, BSc, MRCGP (2016), DRCOG

I graduated from University College London in 2011, completed GP training in 2016 and subsequently worked across practices in London and the home counties. More recently I have worked in a specialist role focusing on older adults and within research. I re-joined Southcote clinic in 2022 and currently work on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Dr H O’Driscoll (Female) – Regular Locum GP
Bsc, MBchB, MRCGP, DCH, DFFP, DRCOG.

I graduated and gained my medical degree in 2003. I have special interests in women’s, children’s health and family planning and have gained diplomas in these over the past few years. I also teach medical students within the practice. I currently work Thursday afternoons.

Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

Kerry Schmidt – ACP 

Kerry qualified as a registered nurse in 2010 and have worked in a variety of setting including ITU, Recovery and Health Visiting Centre. She joined our practice in 2021 and is working towards Masters level in clinical practice. Advanced Clinical Practitioners have an authority to make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Kerry is trained in managing minor illnesses and providing heal and wellbeing advice. You can see Kerry for a range of common conditions and minor illnesses such as:

  •  MSK pains
  •  Sore throat, coughs and colds
  •  Earache
  •  Cystitis
  •  Skin problems
  •  Eye problems

Kerry  is also covering nursing duties when required.

The Nursing Team

Elaine Ward, RN – Practice Nurse

I have diplomas in Asthma Care, Heart Disease, Diabetes, Well Woman’s Healthcare, Family Planning and Cytology as well as extensive training in immunisation. I also provide a wide range of services including child health, chronic disease care, family planning, cytology, wound care and foreign travel/immunisations advice. Clinics with Elaine are run on Monday afternoon, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Natalie Roe – Health Care Assistant (HCA)

Natalie joined our practice in 2021 and is assisting our Practice Nurse in the delivery of nursing duties. Clinics with Natalie run on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We have district nurses, midwives, health visitors, community matron and a palliative care nurse available in the community.

We aim to treat our patients courteously at all times and expect our patients to treat our staff in a similarly respectful way. We operate a zero-tolerance policy and take seriously any threatening, abusive or violent behavior against any of our staff or patients. If a patient is violent or abusive, they will be warned to stop their behavior. If they persist, we may exercise our right to take action to have them removed, immediately if necessary, from our patient list.
