Please read in our OTC Leaflet how prescribing over the counter medication is changing.
Repeat Prescriptions
These are issued for patients on long-term medication. A list of your authorised repeat prescriptions can be found on the right-hand side of your prescription slip.
How do I order my Repeat Prescription?
There are 3 main ways to order your repeat prescriptions:-
- Tick the items you require on the slip and either post your prescription or drop into our post box outside the surgery.
- Email over your request to [email protected]
- Use Patient Access online to order your repeat.
Please allow up to 72 hours for us to process your request.
Please note we do not take orders over the phone unless you are housebound.
If you are having difficulty with any of the above please telephone us so we can help you order your repeat prescription
Please note that if you require medication which is not on your repeat prescription list you may be asked to speak to a doctor first.
We will ask you to book an appointment for a medical review every 6 to 12 months.
Prescription Pre-Payment Certificate
You can buy a prescription pre-payment certificate which may be more economical if you are likely to require more than 14 individual items over a 12 month period.

Electronic Prescription Service
This GP practice offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you nominated. This means:-
- If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your
GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving time. - You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
- You may not have to wait as long as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.

Test Results
Please ring after 10.30 am for any test results you may require as the reception is too busy to deal with queries before then.
Please leave 1 working week before phoning or coming in for results (unless you are specifically told that they will be back sooner). X-rays and scans take up to 2 weeks before the results are available.
We would urge you to chase the results of any test done rather than wait for us to contact you if there is anything abnormal.
Please Note that if your test was ordered by a clinician at the Hospital please contact their department directly for the results as they do not come back to us routinely.
Online Access to Coded Medical Records
In addition to booking appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions online, you are now able to see some of the information in your GP online records, including your medications, allergies, illnesses, immunisations and test results.
